Travellers’ Tales opened in Marylebone, London in December 2025, the realisation of a long-held dream for founder Jayne Alexander who has worked passionately in the travel industry all her life. Given her great love of travel-related books, especially those that showcase stunning photography, as well as novels and memoirs that stir the soul, she has always wanted to own a book shop, one that would become a source for all those seeking knowledge, inspiration and adventure.

Given her immense experience in the luxury travel industry, an opportunity shone out to her…to curate a collection of superb books, and also the means to fulfil her customers’ travel desires. Jayne has enlisted her network of industry experts to ensure imaginative journeys are designed and delivered impeccably.

Jayne’s daughter Melissa has joined the team with her retail experience to create a stunning shop of beauty and wonder with gifts from across the globe.
